A FEW WORDS BY THE CURATOR
This is the first volume of a new series of books devoted exclusively to the art of photography. Our purpose with International Masters of Photography is similar to that of our other series: to create an annual chronicle of what is happening in the art of photography all over the world, by featuring the work of noteworthy photographers, representing as many genres as possible. It might have been easier to confine ourselves only to established photographers, but to do so would have been to miss much of the vital pulse of an art that is expanding and literally recreating itself before our eyes. Much of what is really new and exciting is coming from young, unknown photographers, members of a globalized and well connected world-wide community. Very much enabled by the internet and the rapid development of communication technologies, people from every corner of the global village, are not only gaining more access to information and new processes, but we all are enabled to share our discoveries and in a primarily visual manner. We, at WWAB, see this as a very exciting and positive development, and hope that our books provide one more tool to enhance this contemporary phenomenon. It has been our approach from our beginning as a publishing house to be as broad and inclusive as possible in our selection - while maintaining rigorous standards of quality. We believe that the element of magic in any anthology of art is its broadness and variety, and here we want it to include the whole world. And the world of photography is huge. In years to come, as we add volume after volume, we think that our depiction of it will become an ever more faithful cross-section of this beautiful and dynamic art.

The Exhibition at the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Arts in Las Vegas for the photographers in Volume I of "International Masters of Photography" will take place from 9 February to 23 March 2013. Visit http://www.snmfa.com/id17.html for more information.
HOW YOU CAN BE INCLUDED
"International Master of Photography" will have an emphasis on noteworthy art photography. While clearly most commission work involves more "mundane" subjects such as weddings or product presentation, a photographer's true potential usually comes out when they follow their passions freely, whatever those might be.
This publication will be an invaluable tool for every photographer who wants to gain new clients and commissions, to get the best value for his or her work, and to establish relationships with art galleries, and to be accepted in juried events.
In this superbly printed annual photography book, a new sister publication of the famous "International Contemporary Masters", we present photographers of high caliber from all over the world whose work we consider worthy of presentation in a serious art photography publication.
How you can be included:
Our jury selects the works to present in the book, if the photographer is approved, he or she will be notified within three working days.
The photographer's first page will include one or more images, a short biography, the website address and contact information of the artist. Additional pages include more images, and an artist's statement if desired. Each image can be accompanied by a title or caption. Our design team creates the layout for each page. Page proofs are sent to each participant for checking and approval before the book goes to print.
Payment can be made in installments. Ask us for more details.
This special, high-impact page positioning is reserved for only fifteen photographers. If you are interested in qualifying for one of the available two-page spreads, please let us know!
In this presentation, the photographer gets a 2 page spread - pages are facing each other - where we generally present either one vertical image on each page or one horizontal image over both pages, with full bleed (this means the image(s) cover the whole space of the page without margins) and in one corner is the name of the photographer (we can include a short bio if the photographer desires), title and caption for the work if desired and reference to any additional pages of the photographer in the main section.
